The Four Spiritual Laws
Law 1: God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life
John 3:16 NIV 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 10:10 NIV 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Law 2: Mankind is SINFUL and is SEPARATED from God. Therefore we cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives
Romans 3:23 NIV 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 NIV 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
Law 3: Jesus Christ is God’s ONLY provision for my sin. Through Him (Jesus) I can know and experience God’s love and plan for my life
Romans 5:8 NIV 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Corinthians 15:3-6 NIV 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
John 14:4 NIV 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Law 4: We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives
John 1:12 NIV 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
John 3:1-8 NIV Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. [a]” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
Revelation 3:20 NIV 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the He died on the cross for our sines is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
God know your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart.
You can pray this out loud to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life…
“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sin and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
